2017 Summary of Art

hmmmmmmmm....Yikes. i don't think i declined or improved, quality wise. holding steady with that mediocre content. that's my brand. 

i didn't accomplish any of the things i wanted to do last year, which was to work on backgrounds and larger canvases. whoops! March and April were the largest canvases i used. August was the most ambitious piece i attempted all year and it came out 85% the way i wanted it to, so i count it as one of my few successes.

two pieces of fan art i drew actually got attention and that was such a nice feeling! August got 100 likes on twitter and September got 100 notes on tumblr ^_^ September's piece was a seriously quick one (3hrs) and i didn't expect anyone to notice it. 

i lost interest in drawing roughly around October when my arm started acting up- the near-constant pain really killed my vibe. i just? stopped feeling creative and hated bringing out my tablet and hated my art program and ugh so much hate. there was SO much i wanted to draw (and i still want to), but i could not find the motivation. i did some sketch comms on Gaia and a couple gift pieces for friends but otherwise...nothing happened in November or December. 

i hope i can get back in the swing of things for 2018....
